The slate will also be equipped with a fingerprint reader, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, Intel graphics, 2GB of RAM and... full story ![]()
NEW YORK (TheStreet) - More bad news for Microsoft concerning their Windows RT operating system. Dell remains committed to Microsoft's Windows RT, despite the poor market reception to the OS and a decline in prices of related tablets. The company has "future generations" of its XPS 10 tablet, which runs Windows RT, under development, said Neil Hand, vice president at Dell. The upcoming tablets will be lighter and faster, though Hand did not provide any further...

Dell Wednesday introduced its versatile XPS 18 PC, an 18-inch all-in-one PC that can double as a supersized tablet. The XPS 18 runs Windows 8, and with a large touchscreen, has the look of a mammoth tablet. If you’re willing to spend a little bit more you can get the XPS 10 with a laptop...

While numerous vendors have released tablet devices that use Windows RT, Lenovo has gone with Windows 8 Pro for its hybrid notebook/tablet, the ThinkPad Helix. According to Lenovo Think PC and visual category manager Simon Kent, Windows 8 Pro was the right choice because it is the "full version of Windows" and not "cut down" like RT, enabling users to use the Helix as a...

Among Microsoft's hardware partners few are publicly backing Windows RT after low sales and demand. Dell is standing out from the crowd here, likely in an attempt at relevancy in the mobile market. But it's not a good bet on Dell's part.

Dell's new XPS 18 has an 18.4-inch 1080p screen. But yes, it's a tablet.- albeit one that can double as an all-in-one PC.
